The Central Library of the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) hosts modular synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani at its LA Made cultural series. Ciani’s live quadraphonic performance caps this fourth (quad) year of the series, which features FREE (RSVP) music, dance, theater, and conversations with LA Made entertainers at libraries throughout Los Angeles.

Immediately following the performance, Claire L. Evans, author of Broad Band: The Untold Story of the Women Who Made the Internet and singer of the band YACHT, will interview Suzanne, exploring Suzanne’s history in Los Angeles and the city’s impact on her career with an intimate audience Q&A ending the event.

Ciani’s performance will be paired with reactive visuals by Alex Pelly and preceding the performance, cinematic composer for film, fashion and media Drum & Lace shares spatial sound research with a performative workshop where attendees will perform in three-dimensional space with Drum & Lace.
